Virtuoso cellist and Grammy award winner Yo-Yo Ma serenaded people in the streets of the Indian city of Mumbai recently. Some people who were striding down Marine Drive in Mumbai got lucky to see Yo-Yo Ma perform an impromptu gig.

A video of the performance featuring Yo-Yo Ma started doing the rounds on Instagram. His fans were over the moon to see him in a light-hearted mood. Yo-Yo Ma is reportedly visiting India to as the part of a Bach project. In the performance, he played notes from Bach’s Cello Suit No. 1, as reported by the Mumbai Mirror.

In fact, to most of the onlookers, it didn’t occur that it was actually this genius playing. But then, they paused and got captivated by his performance. It was really heartwarming to see a man of his repute entertaining a group of Marine Drive visitors for straight 20 minutes.
