Baby Chanco from Japan is ruling the internet now for her well-coiffed hair. This one-year-old baby is now the new model for Pantene Japan’s ‘Hair We Go‘ campaign which was announced on January 7.

According to P&G Japan Hair Care Associate Brand Director Yoshiaki Okura, the sight of baby Chanco’s beautiful hair gives people positive energy. Further, In an interview with Huffington Post, Yoshiaki Okura said, “Chanco’s personality and special character matches our image for women we want to support.”

The baby was born on December 23, 2017, and already had the voluminous locks when she was 6 months old. According to a report of Allure, while most babies lose their head locks after a few weeks, that didn’t happen to Chanco. It is believed that the hormone levels in pregnant women play a pivotal role in boosting the baby’s hair growth. Women who have elevated estrogen levels give birth to babies that have a head full of hair. But, according to the report of Modern Mom, the thickness of baby Chanco’s hair is a rare occurrence.

Baby Chanco stars in both, the brand’s new Japan ad and her own online movie titled ‘The hairy tale.’ The movie description, translated from Japanese to English, reads “This is (a) lovely story about baby Chanco, a baby with unique hair. Despite looking different from other babies, baby Chanco is loved worldwide for her naturally thick hair. If everyone can learn to love their differences, this world may become a much nicer place.”
