New York residents were in for a surprise when they noticed that the sky had turned a shade of brilliant blue. From an alien invasion to a supernatural power operating, a barrage of speculations regarding the reasons was thrown up from social media.
It was later confirmed by the New York police department that an explosion of a transformer at a Con Edison power station in Astoria was the reason for this strange and eerie phenomenon. Con Edison is one of the biggest energy companies in the United States.
Con Edison threw more light on the event and put the anxiety and unrest among civilians to rest.
