With more and more nations encouraging their citizens to self-isolate and with most non-essential services such as restaurants, malls, and museums closed for the public, people are beginning to get bored.

To save people from boredom, the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California threw up an interesting challenge to its art fans.

It asked its fans to recreate their most favorite pieces of art with regular household items. After all, staying at home does not mean that we cannot appreciate good art.

The rules to the challenge are simple: you choose your most loved art work, find three things lying in the house, and recreate the piece of art with those items.

We challenge you to recreate a work of art with objects (and people) in your home.

? Choose your favorite artwork
? Find three things lying around your house⠀
? Recreate the artwork with those items

And share with us. pic.twitter.com/9BNq35HY2V

It also gave in some examples of Getty staff recreating art pieces, from where the public could take inspiration.

So, here is an interesting take on the famed ‘Madonna and child.’

And this is another staff recreating ‘Portrait of a Halberdier.’

And soon enough, the general public came up with their own recreations.
